Yes, it is true. Hubertus has left the band.
It is with sadness that we hereby officially declare that Hubertus is no longer a member of Sanctifica. After a time of indecision, he chose to leave the band that he founded and have been a main figure of for the past six years.
He has now joined the fellow forces of Crimson Moonlight, in the role of a bass player. But don’t you worry, he’s not leaving the guitar work behind. There are other things that grows in the shadows. In time it will be revealed.
As of Sanctifica, we have already (and have had for a while) a vocal replacement in our beloved David, and we are currently not looking for a guitarist to supersede Hubertus on guitar.
We are currently in the process of writing new songs. What these will present to you, and when it will be presented, only the future can tell.

Finnish tour finished...
We have just come home from our short tour through Finland (the land of wireless systems). Even though we got surprised by the snow on our way home and almost placed our van in the ditch, we managed to get to the ferry in time and got home safely.
Our deepest appreciations and thanks to Juha Kyrrö of Siitrunamaailma who made this tour possible! We would also like to thank the bands that we played with - Callisto, Superstition and Black Hog - and the people kind enough to let us sleep in their homes. And let's not forget the audiences, what would we have been without you? Also thanks to the bars we played at and everyone else involved in this tour in one way or another. We love you all!

Last weekend's shows
We have just come home from the past weekend's shows at the Gullbranna festival in Sweden and the Seaside festival (Skjaergårds) in Norway. We have had a great time, and hopefully you had too!
We would like to extend our greatest appreciation especially to Pål Atle Normann & company at the Seaside festival. And hello and thanks to everyone else that we met at the festivals, to Superhero (who borrowed our instruments at the Seaside festival) and everyone who bought an album or a t-shirt.

The new vocalist
Those who have seen us live or are signed up to our mailinglist would know that we have a new vocalist, but some might have missed it. Anyway, his name is David Seiving and is most recently known for handling the bass guitar and clean vocals in Crimson Moonlight. His vocals can also be heard in Stardust Inc. on the Negative B album.

Sanctifica will perform at Kalajsrock, the 24th of May.
Kalajs is Jönköping's (our hometown) annual birthday party. There will be a stage in Rådhusparken in central Jönköping, where we will play. Main artist of the evening is Infinite Mass. A couple of local acts will also perform.

The new album Negative B was released at Bobfest on March 8-10. This album is now available for purchase from us. See the shop section for more info. The album will be released to stores in April. We also released a t-shirt at Bobfest. Every S and M sized shirts were sold out, but L and XL are still available. We will get some more small and medium sized for the rest of you. We'd also like to thank all of you who were there supporting us at Bobfest. You were great!

Surprise performance!
On Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd Sanctifica did a surprise performance at Punkt at Pingstkyrkan in Jönköping. Punkt is a christian content multimedia show combined with night meeting. We entered the stage to play "Labels" for a total of about 3500 persons, most of which does not normally listen to metal. The show was captured on video, which will hopefully be available for download soon!
